Thank you to Sam, Sasha, Kash, One Arm Runner, Blade Runner and the rest. It’s great meeting you guys and gals.

A special thanks to my brother from a different mother, haha, Fauzi, for the great motivation throughout the run, especially around the second part of the run when the Sun is slowly rising to its zenith and the body is starting to overheat.

Level 2 Day 3

Notes:

Woohoo! 4 mins 03 secs for my Judgement Day workout. That’s like more than 25 secs faster than my last Judgement Day attempt. The energy must have come from all the ketupats and cookies I have gobbled up since yesterday. Pretty stoked about it but I am literally breathless right now.

From my analysis, to ace this test, each of the three exercises should be best completed in one sitting. But if it’s not possible, then the least, is to perform the push-ups at one go. If a rest or two is required in between all the three exercises, the time taken will be usually more than 5 minutes.

Kay that’s all, tomorrow on the third day of Hari Raya, I wil be running the 10km Singapore Bay Run leisurely with my supportive cousin insya-Allah in our baju kurungs and sampings. Hoping to see Kooky Kash, Sasha and Sam too.

29th Ramadhan – Yay Nak Raya!

Level 2 Day 2

Woohoo!

Shaved nearly 15 secs from my previous Level 2 Day 2 attempt and I feel great though I had to pace myself while doing the squats. I still love my knees you know.

Helped my mom to weave or anyam the coconut leaves to make three ketupat or rice cubes cases orkelongsong . Initially I planned to do most of the weaving but by the time I finished terawih, there were only three pairs of leaves left. Bummer!

However I’m proud to say that in my family, I’m the only one who had learned this complicated traditional skill from my mum. Hopefully I can pass this custom down to my own offsprings one day.

27th Ramadhan – A Way To A Woman’s Heart…

Alhamdulillah I managed to eke out 3 sets more than the previous. Sweat is pouring out from my body right now and it feels damn good. I felt a twinge in my right knee just now but after performing slower squats, it felt normal again. But as usual, necessary precaution will be taken.

Alright that’s it, need to continue baking The Fat Pakcik $250 Chocolate Chip Cookies.

It will be a long night ahead.

24th Ramadhan – Don’t Ever Give Up Hope

I know this will be a long, arduous challenge. But I’ve set my mind to it and will never back down though insurmountable it seems to be. Even how hard a stone is, drop by drop, eventually water will carve into it. So insya-Allah, I will continue to persevere.

Day 3 is basically the Judgement Day in the Simplefit program and I managed to complete the workout under 5 minutes which is the prerequisite to progress to the next level which is, Level 3. However, I still struggled during the chin-up segments and I am not at all satisfied with the quality of my chin-ups. As I also abstained from doing squats last week, I deem it necessary to repeat Level 2 again.
