Notes:

Hey2! I’m having the Birdz flu. Not that aviarian flu. No no! The Birdz flu! You getting me?

Okay cut the crap.

Went out on a run, still carrying the remnants of the seasonal flu. Breathing was a tad difficult and the legs felt a bit sluggish. No hot chicks with peeking butt cheeks were to be seen just now. So the run was a little monotonous to say the least. No cramps too. So that’s one good news.

The other good news is that the shades aka sunglasses I sent last Sunday to my neighbourhood optical shop are ready to be collected. If you wonder who in the right mind will send their sunglasses to the optical shop, well for an acute myopia sufferer like me, I need to.

Unlike other normal sunglasses, mine which I bought online comes with an Rx insert. What on earth is that? It’s just an attachment to place the prescription lenses (1000++ degrees high for me) onto the sunglasses. Think of it like a clip-on shades for the normal spectacles but in the opposite sense of the word.

Rx inserts for prescription lenses

As my short-sightedness is very terrible, how terrible? Imagine not being able to see the facial features of the person standing right in front of you. That terrible. I was quite worried that the high-index precription lenses will not be able to fit the Rx inserts. You may want to know why won’t it fit right? Well to answer that, I need a whole other post to explain. Suffice to say people as blind as a bat like me, have lenses that are extra special and cost a bomb and usually they are way thicker than normal ones.

Luckily, after working its magic, my friendly neighbourhood optician is able to deliver the final product. The high-index prescription lenses fit nicely into the Rx inserts which in turn sits well behind my sunglasses. She herself was mightily impressed that she’s now thinking of buying one for her son who has terrible eyesights like me.

Without further ado, presenting my Birdz Feather 2:

It also comes with two other colour lenses:

Smoked, Yellow, and Clear Lenses

So yeah. I do have the Birdz flu.

Now I just need a super cool road bike to complete the look.
