Notes:

Should have start running after Subuh.

But my body inertia was too great that I only stepped out the house at 8.50am.

The trick to make me run is to take a quick peek at Running Mom‘s training log.

10km mind you…

My run would be way shorter than that but I was totally lazy.

By the time I started, the Sun was burning in full glory.

So this run was really agonising and the urge to call it quits was strong.

In the end, just kept the legs moving while counting out the marching drill timing of “Left, right. left right…” just to keep the legs moving.

Felt good that I didn’t give up.

Keep on going!

p/s: I’m getting darker and running under the hot oven often will not help at all. How can I ever find a gf like this? Oh well… 😥

Sunday Morning Easy Run: Too Fast Too Furious

I was supposed to meet up with the Eastside SGRunners for the first time just now.

But unfortunately I alighted at the wrong bustop.

Blur me.

Took a quick look at the other bustop far down the road and saw a group of runners in white and red singlets running towards the Bedok Reservoir Park.

Quickly tried to run after them but they were toooo fast toooo furious.

When I reached the other bustop, they were gone like the  Flash.

They were seriously fast and I tried to scan the park but there were no traces of them.

Big respect to the Eastside SGRunners.

By that time, I was contemplating of taking the bus home.

But since I was there already, might as well follow the steps of the Eastside SGRunners.

So that was the start of a lone long run (for a noob like me).

Once, I’ve reached White Sands Shopping Centre after around 50mins (I know I’m slow), I tried too look out for the Eastside SGRunners at the McDonalds but they weren’t there.

So I walked all the way back to Tampines.

Hopefully, I can get to meet the Eastside SGRunners one day, but if I am to join their run, I think I’ll be the back-marker or sweeper due to my current snail pace.

One day…
