Tampines-Simei-Singapore Expo-Bedok Camp-East Coast Park-Changi-Loyang-Tampines Bike Route
Another day of cycling with my buddy.
Is it me or what because I’m getting competitive when I cycle this days.
Each time I cycle my aim is to improve timing in general which results in improved average speed.
Therefore I always try to overtake the front person cycling in front of me; be it near or far.
This has tremendously helped in performing interval training as I will sprint all the way until I overtake the front cyclist before slowing down to catch my breath.
But enough of this exercise mumbo-jumbo.
I nearly crashed into a small girl in pink while cycling towards Fort Road at East Coast Park.
If cycling fast is an offence then I take the blame.
But this little girl was standing right in the middle of the track with her dad talking.
As I came nearer she suddenly walk nonchalantly into my path without even bothering to inspect first if there was anybody going in her way.
All children are taught from young to always look left, right and left again before crossing.
But she didn’t do that.
Luckily I managed to jam break and stopped inches from her face.
She was already yelling with her hand outstretched.
All the while her father just kept quiet.
