<p>Failed again for today&#8217;s Judgement Day time limit of 5 mins.<strong><br />

<p>I am still very weak at doing the chin ups. After performing sets of 5 repetitions followed by 4 reps and subsequently 3 reps, I struggled to complete the rest. In the end I did another 4 repetitions albeit resting after each repetition.</p>
<p>Push ups and squats were executed without any hassle. But my arms are aching now.</p>

<p>In the end I am quite happy with today&#8217;s workout as I was able to cut about 2 minutes from the previous Judgement Day workout.</p>

<p>Running on the pavement and running on the running or bicycle track is so much different. The lack of absorbance of the stiff concrete pavements means most of the force exerted onto the pavement is rebounded back to my legs as enshrined in Newton&#8217;s Third Law of Motion<strong>.</strong></p>
<p>Due to this the balls of my feet hurt but I think I will get use to it after a few more runs on the pavement. So in the meantime I just have to bear with it.<strong></strong></p>

<p>Went out for a sort of a trial run with the newly married man Fauzi, and my brother-in-law after the Maghrib prayers. He received a pair of <a href="http://www.vibramfivefingers.com/products/products_bikila_f.cfm" target="_blank">Vibram Bikila</a> as part of his wedding gifts and was raring to give it a go.</p>
<p>It was also the first time I ran with my bro-in-law and he was fast. Surely it must be due to all the runs he did with my sister along the River Thames.</p>
<p>Most likely the next agenda is a half-day cycling adventure in Pulau Ubin this Saturday.</p>
<p>I love getting fit!</p>

<p>It&#8217;s just that, I need to take extra precaution for every step I took due to my unstable knees. And oh yeah, I nearly puke out my <em>sambal sotong</em> and rice at the end of the run. That would be gross to say the least.</p>

<p>I felt heavy and little bit weary while doing the workout. This was most likely due to a whole day of taking photographs at my cousin&#8217;s, Fauzi, wedding yesterday. And the plates of nasi briyani plus its accompanying side dishes didn&#8217;t help the cause at all.</p>
<p>But I am pleased to note that in these unsatisfactory condition, I aimed to perform at least 15 sets but I still managed to crank out the same number of sets like last week. So that&#8217;s a wonderful bonus.</p>

<p>I tried using the cheap compression tights that I bought online for the first time during the run and Simplefit workout. It&#8217;s not those fanciful Skins or 2XU compression garments that cost an arm and a leg.</p>
<p>I can&#8217;t convincingly say that it helps but I managed to cut one minute from the previous run and shaved off a few more seconds for the Simplefit Level 3 Day 2 workout.</p>
<p>Maybe the compression really helps or maybe it&#8217;s just the placebo effect. Or maybe I&#8217;m just getting stronger and faster.</p>
